Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit blog.deepanshuyadav.in, why it is collected, and what choices you have about it.

Who we are

This website is operated by Deepanshu Yadav. The site address is https://blog.deepanshuyadav.in. If you have questions about this policy or about your data, you can reach me through the contact page.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site displays advertising to cover hosting and running costs. Please read this section carefully, because it describes how third parties may collect information about you.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (opens in new tab).
  • You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info (opens in new tab).
  • Third-party ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on this site and may use their own cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to measure ad performance.

I do not control the cookies set by advertising partners and I do not have access to the data they collect. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. This site uses them in a few ways:

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working, for example remembering your cookie preferences.
  • Comment cookies: if you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies so you do not have to refill those fields next time. These last for one year.
  • Analytics cookies help me understand which posts people actually read.
  • Advertising cookies are set by Google and other ad partners as described above.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of this site behave.

Analytics

I use analytics tools to see aggregate traffic patterns: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which devices they use. This is reported in aggregate. I do not use it to identify individual readers.

Comments

When you leave a comment, the site collects the information shown in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address, called a hash, may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy (opens in new tab). After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

How long data is retained

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically rather than held in a moderation queue. For registered users, the personal information in the user profile is stored, and users can see, edit, or delete that information at any time. Site administrators can also see and edit it.

Your rights over your data

If you have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data held about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that personal data held about you be erased. This does not include data that must be kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Use the contact page to make either request.

Where data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Advertising and analytics partners process data on their own infrastructure, which may be located outside your country.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information here, contact me and I will remove it.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site changes, for example if an advertising or analytics partner is added or removed. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
